God Will Carry You
We all know that mosquitoes carry disease, but you may not know just how many. There are currently over 80 species of mosquito endemic in Canada—although only a few of these carry pathogens that can cause disease in humans. West Nile virus, Eastern equine encephalitis virus and the California serogroup viruses are mosquito-borne viruses that have been found to cause human infections in North America, including in Canada. Over the last 20 years, the incidence of most of these endemic mosquito-borne diseases has increased approximately 10% in Canada.

Canadians are living longer than ever before. More and more of us have grey hair – men and women from two generations now deal with changed colour up top. God knew that this was a natural result of aging and speaks to His care for us throughout the long years of life. In Isaiah 46:4 we read, “Even to your old age and grey hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” It doesn’t matter how old we get, how many years we spend on this earth – God sustains us and cares for us. I have family members who are getting up in years and to use the title of an old song–the longer they serve Him, the sweeter He grows. Even when our physical bodies and our minds start to fail us, God comes alongside to sustain us. No matter how old we get, we can count on God’s unchanging love and care for us. The longer we live, the more we experience His grace.
