Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 NIV

God Will Give You Peace

According to the expatra.com website, which helps people determine where they should live in Canada, “If you’re looking to get away from it all and relax in some tranquillity, Nova Scotia is the best province for you. The East-coast province has low property prices, low cost of living, clean air, minimal crime, and lots of peace and quiet. For many people, it’s a dream. The relaxed lifestyle means people really enjoy connecting with the outdoors and with each other.”

I recently received an update on Bible League Canada’s ministry in Eastern Europe. It is a part of the world where nations and people are struggling with war and the stress and medical issues that come because of the conflicts. My heart reached out to the Lord as I read that report – Lord grant them your peace. That has always been the longing of the human heart. Paul the apostle knew this as he wrote in 2 Thessalonians 3:16: “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” You may not be living in a war zone – at least not militarily – but we all long for peace of heart. There is only one source for true peace in your heart, in your home, where you work. Jesus is the Lord of peace and when we reach out to Him in faith, experiencing Him lifting our sin, He brings us peace with God. This is just the beginning. Throughout our lives, no matter what swirls around us, Jesus gives us peace at all times and in every way.

These have been words from the heart.
