Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV
Outwardly Wasting Away
Long-term care facilities in Canada provide 24/7 support to seniors or individuals with significant health needs that cannot be managed at home or in a retirement setting. These facilities offer comprehensive services, including medical care, personal support, and social activities. Unlike independent or assisted living in a retirement community, Long Term Care primarily supports individuals who require consistent medical attention and help with Activities of Daily Living. LTC is provincially funded, and each province’s Ministry of Health ensures the legislation is followed.

All of us are growing older. The older we get, the more we recognize that our bodies are slowing down. We don’t like it, and we often work hard to keep in shape, eat healthy, and get check-ups regularly. Since sin entered into the world, our bodies have had an end date. Thankfully, this only happens physically. For the follower of Jesus, our spiritual life has no end date – and we get healthier the longer we walk with Jesus. Paul the apostle writes about this in 2 Corinthians 4:16: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” Our relationship with Jesus is not just a once and done thing. Although the day we become a follower of Jesus is the day we are redeemed and brought from life to death, the Christian ought to be developing that relationship with Jesus every day, growing stronger in faith and knowing the Saviour more and more. We ought to be renewed in Jesus every single day, growing in grace and becoming more and more like him. We do so by spending time with him, in His Word and in prayer. Every day.
These have been words from the heart.
