In spite of living in a digital age, printed books are still popular. The huge Amazon website, the second largest retailer in the world after Walmart, started out selling books. Just books. So many still want to write a book, or are doing so, even though only a small number write a bestseller. Because we are created with the ability to think, we also have the ability to communicate our thoughts, and books remain a common way to do so. God also wanted to communicate with His creation, so He used human authors to let the world know what He wants to tell us. The result is the Bible. Listen to what the apostle says about this in 2 Peter 1:21: “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” God raised up prophets, inspired by the Holy Spirit, to communicate to the world.
