The Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations was conducted through an online panel from October 30 to November 18, 2025. Here are some results: Concerns over high prices and economic uncertainty related to the trade conflict continue to have a negative impact on consumers. In this quarter’s survey, consumers perceived a higher likelihood of missing a debt payment and a slightly greater chance of losing their job. In this context, consumers reported weaker spending plans. Still, they perceive a greater chance than last quarter of finding a job or voluntarily leaving their job.

When Paul arrived in Thessalonica to share the good news about Jesus, Acts 17 tells us that he went into the synagogue to reason with the Jews from Scripture. While he faced opposition from many, we are told that a significant number of God-fearing Greeks and prominent women believed the message and a church was planted. In 1 Thessalonians 2:1, Paul thinks back on this and writes, “You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results.” The visit to Thessalonica wasn’t flashy. It wasn’t easy. Paul had already suffered and been mistreated. Yet God was at work beneath the surface—strengthening hearts, planting truth, shaping a community that would endure. What looked ordinary was actually eternal. The same is true in your life. The conversation you had, the prayer you whispered, the act of kindness no one applauded—none of it is in vain when offered to the Lord. God measures fruit differently than we do. So, keep going. Keep trusting. Keep loving. One day you’ll see that what felt small was never insignificant at all. God was working all along.
These have been words from the heart.
