He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Isaiah 40:29 NIV
Strength
Here are some of Canada’s greatest strengths: Canada is ranked 27 of 145 out of the countries considered for the annual Global Firepower review. Canada is a Top 10 global producer of crude oil, a critical natural resource. Canada generates over 4% of global knowledge, despite accounting for just .5% of the world’s population. Canada’s performance is consistently strong in measures related to the quality of education, market regulation, and social factors. Entrepreneurs make up 17% of the labour force.

Do you ever get tired? Really, really tired? Not just physically, but mentally and spiritually exhausted? So much so that you don’t even want to get out of bed? Or off the couch? There were times when Jesus poured Himself out so much in the three and half short years of His ministry, that He fell asleep in a boat on a stormy sea or spent nights with His Father up on a mountain. If in His humanity, the Creator of the universe needed the renewing presence of God the Father, how much more do we. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Even on the best of our days we recognize our weakness. We fail so often when temptation comes our way, or we fail in our own power to accomplish what God has called us to do. The prophet gives us a great promise here – when we are at our weakest, our most weary, God’s power kicks in, if we will ask for it. Do not live weary today. Let the Lord know how you are feeling, and seek His supernatural rest, His divine empowerment. He will give it.
These have been words from the heart.
