I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13 NIV

I Can

The website nomadasaurus.com lists some really interesting activities that a person can do in Canada. The list includes setting “aside a day or two to take part in one of the most unique Canada activities – kayaking with beluga whales! The mystical white whales of Canada’s Arctic live in the waters of Hudson Bay, coming close to shore to feed on trout and char. The closest experience you can have is to sea kayak alongside them, under the watchful eye of your licensed guide of course.”

There are a lot of things you and I can’t do. It is doubtful that we will ever fly to Mars – one day human beings will, but it is impossible for us to do so currently, or maybe in our lifetime. We will never understand infinity – no finite human being can. But when God calls us to do something, He always provides all we need to accomplish it. Paul makes that promise in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” The content of this verse is Paul’s testimony of learning to be content in all situations. He had experience need and plenty, and no matter what his circumstances, he tells the Christians in Philippi that God had given Him the strength to be content. This is one of God’s greatest gifts to His people – he always provides everything we need to accomplish God’s will. As you take time to discern God’s will for your life, you never need to doubt God’s ability, and willingness, to provide all you need. Trust Him and you will experience the fullness of God’s empowerment.

These have been words from the heart.
