“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
John 14:15-17 NIV
In Us
According to the Government of Canada website, “Importing a single piece of fruit or meat into Canada can be harmful to our ecosystems. Various food, plant and animal products are restricted or prohibited entry because they can harbour invasive species, foreign animal diseases and plant pests. These things can cause irreparable harm to Canada’s crops, livestock, environment, and threaten Canada’s economy. Many different kinds of items can introduce foreign threats into Canada. These include things as diverse as: food, such as raw or cooked meats, fruit/vegetables, milk and houseplants.

The most precious people in our lives are said to be held in our heart. We keep them in a special place in our lives and the thought of them brings us joy, comfort, satisfaction and hope. If this is the case with other human beings, in a much more profound way God has taken up residence in us by the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that this would be so. In John 14:15-17 he says, “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” There is no more sense of intimacy with God than this. God Himself, in the person of the Holy Spirit, has taken up residence in us when we trusted Jesus as Saviour and Lord. He fills us with the power we need for holy living, active service, and a relationship with our Creator that will carry us through this life and into eternity.
These have been words from the heart.
