Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Malachi 3:10 NIV
Test God In This
In March 2024 the Regina Police Service launched a new initiative that required drivers pulled over during that month to take a mandatory alcohol screening test. And they wanted drivers to know that under the law, drivers are required to comply with a demand for a breath test. Impaired driving is the leading cause of fatal collisions on Saskatchewan roads, according to Saskatchewan Government Insurance. Sgt. Shannon Gordon, who works in the Regina police traffic unit, said “It is estimated that over 1,500 people are killed by impaired drivers in Canada each year.”

One of the key principles of the Kingdom of God is that the more we give away to help those with needs, the more God will provide so that we can keep blessing others. God taught this principle in both the Old and New Testaments. In the tenth chapter of Malachi, we read that God’s people had been turning away from Him. Their hearts were set on selfishly gaining as much material wealth as they could, hoarding it all for their own use. By doing so, they were missing this key Kingdom principle – the more we give away, the more we invest in others, the more God will provide so we can keep doing that. In Malachi 3:10, he says, “’Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing…’”
These have been words from the heart.
