God Works On Your Behalf
There are several jobs in high demand across various sectors in Canada. The top are: Web Developer: With the rise of digital transformation, web developers are highly sought after. Human Resources Managers: Responsible for recruiting and managing talent, HR managers are crucial in today’s job market. Electrical Engineers: They play a vital role in designing and maintaining electrical systems. Veterinarians: With many Canadians owning pets, veterinarians are in high demand.

One of my favourite stories in the Old Testament is the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. The prophets of Baal go to crazy lengths to try to get their god’s attention. Elijah knew that their god wasn’t real and taunts the false prophets by saying, “Perhaps he is in deep thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened.” Baal never did respond, obviously, being a god who is no god at all, and he has faded into the mists of history. Elijah made one request of His God and fire immediately fell from heaven. Our God is the God who speaks. Another prophet put it this way in Isaiah 64:4: “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.” The God who sent fire on Mount Carmel hasn’t changed. He still responds to all who call on Him through Jesus Christ. He speaks into our lives through His word and by the Holy Spirit, and here we are, millennia after Elijah and Isaiah, and He still speaks today. Ask, and then wait on Him to respond. He will.
