Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7 NIV
Love One Another
In giving advice to new Canadians for the dating scene, the website theculturetrip.com says, “Canadians are proud of their country and with good reason. Where possible, they will look for homegrown goods and brands. The best thing about looking for a date in Canada is being surrounded by great people. Canadians are renowned all over the world for being friendly, polite and laidback. You might be rejected at times, but it will be done very kindly, so don’t be afraid of putting yourself out there.”

Every human being needs love, and the most blessed ones have experienced lifelong love from those closest to them. There is a universal truth in this – those who have experienced unconditional love can love unconditionally. This is true on the human level, and it is even more so on the spiritual. In his first epistle, the apostle who described himself as “the disciple Jesus loved” wrote this as an older man in 1 John 4:7: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” John’s point is this: it is only when we have experienced the love of Jesus by faith in Him that we understand what true agape love is and therefore can express that love to others. Only someone who has been born of God through the work of Jesus in their lives can express that to others. So, John says to us, those who have been transformed by the love of Jesus, love one another just like that. That kind of love only comes from God and must go out from us.
These have been words from the heart.
