And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

Remain in Him

Maintaining legal status in Canada is crucial for temporary residents, including workers, students, and visitors. A critical safeguard in Canada’s immigration system is maintained status, also known as implied status. This provision allows individuals to remain in Canada legally after they have applied to renew their status and applications are being processed. Maintained status only applies if the renewal application is submitted before the permit expires. Applicants have until the last day of the permit’s validity. The individual must remain in Canada while waiting for a decision.

Jesus is coming back. The prophets tell us, and on the day Jesus ascended, an angel announced that He would come back in the same manner those there to witness the ascension saw Him go. The first time He came, He came as a baby in a manger – it’s almost Advent, so in just three days we will start focusing on His birth. The second time He comes, it will all be much different. There will be no cute baby, no twinkling stars and shepherds. When He returns, there will be white horses, and we had better be prepared, the Bible warns. When you think about Jesus’ return, if you think about it at all, how does it make you feel? The elderly apostle says this in 1 John 2:28: “And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.” For the person who is fully trusting Christ, His return is our blessed hope, and we await confident and unashamed. Does this describe your heart when you ponder His return? If not, trust Him fully.

These have been words from the heart.
