If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
Deuteronomy 28:1-6 NIV
Overtaking Blessings
Communication is an essential part of all group interactions at home or in the office. Communication includes various means of conveying messages from the sender to the receiver or vice versa. Knowing the barriers to communication and how to overcome them can help you become a better communicator and professional. For communication to be effective, the message the sender conveys reaches the recipient precisely as the sender intended. Effective communication requires both the sender and the receiver to have good listening skills.

The world in which God’s Old Testament people lived was a challenging one, and it remains so in our world today. In many parts of the world, being a follower of Jesus, particularly if you are sharing your faith and leading others to the Lord, can put your life in danger. Being the God of hope, millennia ago, God gave a promise to His people to give them hope in a challenging world. In Deuteronomy 28:1-6 God said this to them, and to us: “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands that I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock – the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.”
These have been words from the heart.
