It is God who arms me with strength
and keeps my way secure.

Secure Ways

Canada and USA have what is known as a Safe Third Country Agreement. Under the agreement, People entering Canada from the US along the land border, still not eligible to make a refugee claim will be returned to the US unless they meet one of the relevant exemptions or exceptions under the STCA. On March 24, 2023, Canada and the United States announced the expansion of the agreement across the entire land border, including internal waterways.

Canada has some of the most challenging hiking trails in the world. If you’ve ever hiked any of them, you know that there are levels of challenge along the way. At some points, the hiking is easy, enjoyable. Other sections push us to the limit of our endurance and can be frightening. The Bible speaks about hiking paths as a picture of the path of life. King David writes this in Psalm 18:32: “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” In a world where very little is secure, the God who created us keeps us close. Years ago, a group of men from our church in Florida went hiking on one of the most challenging sections of the Appalachian Trail in north Georgia. There were times when we had to hold on to each other to stay on the slippery trail. As we hike along the paths of life, God is holding your hand. He will never slip, never fall. Trust Him completely, and allow Him to hold you, whether life is good right now, or terrifying. And you will be able to testify, as David did, that God keeps your way secure.

These have been words from the heart.
