Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.

Psalm 145:13 NIV

Faithful and Loving

O Canada was proclaimed the official national anthem on July 1, 1980. “God Save the King” remains the royal anthem of Canada. The music for O Canada was written by Calixa Lavallée, a concert pianist and native of Verchères, Quebec. It was commissioned in 1880 on the occasion of a visit to Quebec by John Douglas Sutherland Campbell, marquess of Lorne, then governor-general of Canada, and his wife, Queen Victoria’s daughter Princess Louise. The original French lyrics were written by Sir Adolphe-Basile Routhier, later chief justice of Quebec.

We are blessed when we have people in our lives that we can trust completely. Friends and family members who stand with us in the most challenging times, who love us no wonder what we are going through. These are the people we call when life takes a sudden turn and we are facing things that are overwhelming. If they are a follower of Jesus, they become His hands and feet and heart for us. The Bible tells us that our God is completely faithful and loving. Psalm 145:13 says, “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” One of the greatest blessings in putting our faith in Jesus is that we get His abiding presence and we can claim the unchanging promises that we find in His Word. Whatever you are going through right now, take time to read His word. In prayer. Call on the Lord Jesus to step into your situation and manifest His loving presence through His peace and everlasting faithfulness.

These have been words from the heart.
