You are not alone. Nobody is. Even in those moments when you feel the most abandoned, the most needy, the most afraid, your Creator God is with you. God knows that we can’t make it through life on our own. The apostle Peter certainly knew that he couldn’t do on his own what God had called him to do. Every time he tried, he failed. He discovered that God was always with him, always providing. So, he writes this, in 2 Peter 1:3: “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” Too often, God’s people try to serve Him in their own strength. The result is too many burned out believers, exhausted from trying to serve God, live for God, honour God, in their own strength. How much more we accomplish if we would simply access God’s divine power that provides everything, yes everything, that we need to live a life He calls us to live. Yield your weakness to His power and watch Him use you to have eternal impact.
