I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11 NIV
Hidden
Canada is filled with hidden gems. According to an article in the Globe and Mail, you can spend a night in a Quebec lighthouse, search for fossils on a Nova Scotia beach, or stroll a riverbank neighbourhood in Saskatchewan, find four seasons of fun in a New Brunswick national park, and explore a Yukon village that’s set up for adventure. It’s just a matter of bringing your passport (if you’re visiting from outside of Canada) and your curiosity. Each hidden Canadian gem will fuel your wanderlust and sense of adventure.

A few years ago, the Bible Engagement Center did a study on the impact that regular time studying the Bible has on the lifestyle of the reader. They discovered something that shouldn’t surprise us – the more time spent reading and absorbing God’s Word, the more the follower of Jesus began to look like Him. They call the results the power of four because they discovered that anyone who spends at least four times a week in serious study of God’s Word will live a life noticeably more Christlike than those who do not spend that much time in the Bible. King David understood this to be and writes in Psalm 119:11: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” David had fallen into sin, and it had a lifetime impact on him and those around him. He never wanted that to happen again, so David decided to hide God’s words in his heart. We need to do so as well, so that we also will not sin against Him. Take time today to hide God’s Word in your heart.
These have been words from the heart.
