…but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

Philippians 1:24 NIV

More Necessary

The Canadian Nurses Association established some priorities for health care in the future. One such priority is to protect seniors and vulnerable populations during future public health crises, and to do so, workplace excellence programs such as the CNA Stellar Certification Program must be implemented. Promoting workplace safety, designing the right mix of nursing expertise and roles, supporting nurses’ development through education and professional development, and ensuring an inclusive workplace that reflects Canada’s diverse population will improve resilience in long-term care settings, ensuring they are better prepared for future public health crises.

We live in a society that, some decades back, began to deny the existence of God. The results have been obvious. So many have no idea that they have been lovingly created with a purpose. They go through life trying to figure out who they are and if they have any value at all. When you’re taught all your life that you’re just the result of billions of years of the survival of the fittest, what meaning is there to life? What a contrast to the tension the apostle Paul is feeling as he writes Philippians 1. He is in prison, and being with Jesus sounds better than anything else – he isn’t wrong. But Paul knew that God had a plan for his life, so he writes in Philippians 1:24: “…but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.” God has a plan for your life as well. Only He knows that influence you have on others, as you fulfill the purpose God has for you. You are not a product of change. You have been lovingly created with a clear purpose.

These have been words from the heart.
