And We Know
Here is something you may not know about Canada: you might not associate Canada with deserts, but the country is home to the world’s smallest desert! As we grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, we learn more about Him, about His nature, His grace, His provision, His love. As He leads us through challenging times, even wilderness times, we learn about His faithfulness to us and how He carries us through.. That’s how we know, when the next difficulty comes our way, that we can trust Him to work out His perfect plan for our lives. The apostle Paul puts it this way in Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” How did Paul know this? Time after time he had seen the Lord Jesus work out His plan for Paul – from the moment He stopped him on the road to Damascus, through beatings, shipwrecks, hunger and prison – Jesus had never failed to work out His plan for Paul. He is working out His plan for you as well. We know – yes, we know – that in all things God is working for the best of those who love him – for you and me.
