As frustrated as you might be, and should be, by how easily you fail to live up to God’s high standard to be perfect as He is perfect, no matter how frustrated you are at your ongoing proclivity to sin, the good news is that God doesn’t like it either and has developed a plan for you to gain the victory. In the benediction at the end of Hebrews, the author of that book writes this: “Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” This beautiful benediction shows us the way by which God wants to work in you. Through Jesus’ shed blood and resurrection, God is able to equip you with everything good for doing His will and work in you what is pleasing to Him. If He calls you to something, He will provide all you need to accomplish it.
