There are very few things that give children greater joy than dinosaurs. What you may not know is that Trenton Ontario makes tons of them every year. No, they don’t make dinosaurs like in Jurassic Park, but it’s the next best thing. Research Casting International, the leading company for constructing dinosaur remains (casting, restoring, mounting and repairing), is located in a 48,000 sq.ft. airplane-hanger-sized building in this eastern Ontario town. The company has created more than 750 of the mighty beasts for museums around the world.

I have a friend who keeps a list of every blessing that God has brought her way. I often think I should start keeping such a list. Her’s goes back years, and she is able to track every good and perfect gift God has provided for her. She told me that sometimes keeping such a list is difficult – like the rest of us, her life has not always been easy. But on those days, she looks back in her book and is reminded of all the good things God has provided. The Bible speaks to this principle in Psalm 126:3: “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” You may not have a list, but you do have a memory. Take time today to think back on all the blessings God has poured out on you over the years of your life – whether they are few or many. As the old song says, it will surprise you what the Lord has done. Let’s live today in thankfulness for the goodness of God throughout our lives and be filled with joy.
