Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Colossians 3:16 NIV
Dwelling
Canada offers several types of houses to fit the space, budget and location requirements of different individuals and families. The most common types of houses in Canada include detached houses, semi-detached houses, townhouses and condominiums. In 2021, Canada had a total of almost fifteen million occupied private dwellings. The majority of occupied private dwellings in Canada in 2016 were single-detached houses. The share of dwellings that were apartments was highest in Montréal, Vancouver and Québec. Toronto had the largest share of dwellings in high-rise buildings.

As Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz reminds us, there is no place like home. At the end of a long time away, or a long day at work, there is nothing like coming home, getting comfortable, and spending a quiet evening relaxing, or a busy time with those we love the most. Most of us love where we dwell, made even better when something dwells in us. In Colossians 3, the apostle Paul writes, “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.” The Bible is very clear that God’s Word must dwell in us, richly. That word “richly” is important. People can read the Word, study it for its history, or geography, or as literature. But when we read it to discover the author, when we read to understand His will for His followers, when we allow it to sink deep within us, it will transform us and others around us as we share it together. No wonder Paul says this will lead to a heart filled with gratitude.
These have been words from the heart.
