God Cares for You
Founded in 1988, the Caring Company Certification awards an Imagine Canada Trustmark to companies that give back at least 1% of pre-tax profits to the communities where their employees live and work. Community investment is recognized across four categories: Cash donations, paid volunteerism, in-kind contributions, and management costs. Canadian employees prefer working for Caring Companies. In a 2019 study, 92% of respondents who worked for Caring Companies reported their employer was committed to community service compared to only 58% of those that were not.

Each of us who are in a relationship with Jesus and who know His Word have our favourite Bible verses. I love Peter’s epistles and some of my favourite verses are found there. Perhaps my favourite is 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” This was written by Peter who spent so many hours with Jesus during His ministry. This is Peter who denied the Lord but who was restored. Jesus loved Peter so much that when He rose from the dead, He told the women to tell Peter that he was alive. As you read the Gospels it soon becomes evident just how much Jesus loved Peter. In the midst of storms and doubt and sickness, Peter had discovered just how much Jesus loved Him. Peter knew that no matter what, he could cast all his anxiety on Jesus. If Peter could testify to this, so can you. The same Jesus who was with Peter through it all, even Peter’s denial, will be with you as well, no matter what you are going through. So, cast all your anxiety on Jesus because He cares for you.
