Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Canada is a vast and diverse country, and this diversity is reflected in its various regions, each with its own unique cultural identity. Whether it is the celebration of French heritage in Quebec, the vibrant multiculturalism of cities like Vancouver and Toronto, or the deep-rooted traditions of First Nations people, the regional variations in Canadian culture contribute to the country’s overall cultural mosaic. Exploring these regional differences allows for a deeper understanding of the complexities and nuances that make up Canada’s cultural fabric.

There is very little stability in this world. It seems that everything is changing so quickly. I’m reading daily about the massive change to our society and culture that artificial intelligence is going to bring about. If you think that you’ve seen a lot of change lately, apparently the future is unimaginable. It is difficult for human beings to cope with major change. Some people don’t deal with it well at all. The good news for followers of Jesus is that our God never changes. He is the same loving, creative, gracious and benevolent God as He has been from before time. That is why the apostle was able to write, in James 1:17: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” The God who provided manna for the people of Israel in the desert still provides for His people today. The God who sent a raven to feed Elijah, still sends good and perfect gifts. In this world of constant change, trust the immutable God to pour out His good and perfect gifts.

These have been words from the heart.
