All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

God Making It Clear

One factor contributing to the stunning blue colours of the Canadian Rockies is the presence of “glacial milk.” Glacial milk refers to the cloudy, turquoise-colored water resulting from the mixture of glacier meltwater and finely ground rock flour. As glacial meltwater carries sediments, it creates a suspension in the water, scattering light and causing it to appear blue. The combination of glacial milk and the reflective properties of the suspended rock flour particles results in lakes such as Lake Moraine and Lake Louise exhibiting breathtaking shades of blue.

As a young Christian, I was sure I had this Christian journey all figured out. Life would be easy, simple, straightforward. Jesus loved me, and I had my Bible in hand – I was sure that I’d sail through life right to Glory. Then reality set in. Actual life happened. There are moments of great joy, of course – Jesus provides lots of those. But there are also times of loss, disappointment, frustration. Paul understood this, and thinking about the goal of every Christian – the prize that awaits, writes this in Philippians 3:15: “All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.” Spiritual maturity isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about having the right posture. Paul reminds us that mature believers are marked by a mindset of pressing forward in Christ, leaving behind what hinders and reaching toward what lies ahead. It’s a journey of continual growth. In moments of uncertainty or disagreement, Paul offers a comforting truth: with our hearts set on Jesus, God Himself will reveal what we need to know every step along the way.
