Going Well With You

In a new report, a think-tank within Employment and Social Development Canada cites 35 “plausible” global disruptions that could reshape Canada and the world in the near future. One of the greatest joys of parenting is to pour out our blessings on our children. We long for them to know that we love them and will do anything for them. As they grow up and begin to leave the nest, we pray God’s blessings on them and wish them well in every way. When the apostle wrote his third epistle, he said this in 3 John 1:2: “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, just as you are progressing spiritually.” John passes on best wishes to his friend Gaius. At the end of the letter, as do all friends, he wishes Gaius good health and that all may be well. We often think of the apostles as being super-saints and while they did get to walk with Jesus and see him face to face every day for three years, they were human beings just like the rest of us. They had good friends, whom they wished well. How good it is to take time today to send best wishes to those we love.

These have been words from the heart.
