Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Every Christian ought to be tremendously thankful that we are not called to live for Jesus and serve Him alone. God gives each of us to encourage one another and be coworkers in the ministry to which He has called us. The apostle Paul was certainly grateful for this, and writes in Philippians 4:3: “Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.” Paul here speaks of fellow believers who have laboured alongside him, highlighting the importance of unity and mutual support in the body of Christ. These are not just casual acquaintances—they are co-labourers, friends, and spiritual siblings who share in the mission of spreading God’s love. We, too, are called to recognize and honour those who walk with us in faith. God places people in our lives to strengthen us, challenge us, and remind us of His presence. Take a moment today to thank those who have stood by you in your spiritual walk. Reach out with love, offer help, and be the companion Paul speaks of—faithful, encouraging, and committed to the cause of Christ.

These have been words from the heart.
