On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

A Name Written
Nunavut, or “Our Land” in Inuktitut, encompasses over 2 million km2 and has a population of 36,858 residents, 30,865 of whom are Inuit. Covering roughly the part of the Canadian mainland and Arctic Archipelago that lies to the north and northeast of the treeline, Nunavut is the largest and northernmost territory of Canada and the fifth largest administrative division in the world. Nunavut became Canada’s newest territory when it was created in 1999 – it had previously been a part of the Northwest Territories.

When God’s Son was born, He was given the name Jesus, or Yeshua in Hebrew, which means Yahweh Saves. He bore many other names, as well. Isaiah 9:6 tells us that His name is Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. We could fill Words from the Heart this morning with the names Jesus is given in the Bible. The people with whom He mingled while He was here knew Him as their teacher, friend, rabbi. Those closest to Him began to realize that He was far more than simply an itinerant preacher. But it was John the Revelater who would fully understand who this Jesus was, and is. In Revelation 19:16 he writes, “On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” As the age draws to a close, Jesus will be seen for who He really is – He is the ruler of all, the promised One, who will establish His kingdom of truth and peace, and will reign forever over the new heaven and the new earth. We long to see Him bear that name – King of kings and Lord of lords. Maranatha.
These have been words from the heart.
