Open Canada is an online magazine published by the Canadian International Council that aims to engage Canadians from all walks of life in a discussion about this country’s place in the world. They do this by publishing, in English and French, analysis, commentary, reporting, and personal stories that provoke debate and encourage Canadians to become involved in pushing for the foreign policy they want both through government and non-state actors and actions. Open Canada was founded in June 2011 by the Canadian International Council in collaboration with Taylor Owen.

We have friends whose home we can walk into without even knocking. We go in through the garage, open the door and call out, letting them know that we are there. We have to be special friends to have this kind of relationship. Those of us who have come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through faith have a similar relationship with Him. Jesus gives us a wonderful promise in Matthew 7:8: “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” He goes on to speak about our God, who loves us and wants to bless us with good gifts. When you pray, when you ask the Lord for a need you have, you will receive. When you seek Him, you will find Him. When you knock, the door will be opened – you are always welcome in His presence. Take advantage of this incredible offer. Spend time with Him in prayer today, seeking His heart, laying out before Him your greatest longing. His door is always open to you – He is waiting, right now, to hear from you.
