How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
Psalm 139:17-18 NIV

Did you know that most of the world’s French fries come from New Brunswick? New Brunswick-based McCain Foods makes one out of every four French fries produced in the world, and many come from a state-of-the art potato processing plant that’s in Florenceville-Bristol. The small town in western New Brunswick has taken on the moniker “The French Fry Capital of the World.” Not surprisingly, this is the location of the Potato World museum, and the heart of the mid-July National French Fry Day celebrations.

I have a friend who has the most amazing ability to think through complex problems and work out a solution. I’d love to be able to get into his brain to see how he works through the intricate challenges to create a path forward. If a bright human being has that brain capacity, imagine how the mind of our Creator works. King David describes it this way in Psalm 139:17-18: “How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.” God’s mind created all that we see in this amazing world before He spoke a thing into being. No computer comes anywhere near being as complex as the human brain, and the brightest human mind cannot begin to compare with the mind of God. This is why the principles you find in God’s Word, the Bible, are eternal and universal. This is why you can look into God’s Word for guidance. While human intelligence too easily fails, God’s thoughts never do.
These have been words from the heart.
