Established Plans
Wise Canadians plan for the future and the Canada Pension Plan is a crucial part of the Canadian social security system, providing financial support to eligible individuals upon retirement, disability, or death. It is a contributory, earnings-related social insurance program that helps Canadians maintain a basic standard of living in their later years. The CPP is a mandatory pension plan that requires contributions from both employees and employers during their working years. These contributions are then pooled and invested by the CPP Investment Board.

The God who created you had a plan for your life while you were still in your mother’s womb. You are not an accident. You were lovingly created and are deeply loved now. King Solomon understood this and tells us, in Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Solomon noticed that those who walked closest to the Lord had the greatest sense of God’s will for their lives. It is when we surrender ourselves fully to the Lordship of Jesus in our lives that God is able to reveal His will for us with the confidence that we will live daily under the plan He has for us. Until we get our will out of the way, until we lay down our own selfish desires, we can’t hear God speaking clearly and so won’t know what God is calling us to. When we commit ourselves fully to the Lord, however, we will hear God speak clearly to us. Like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, we need to pray, every day “nevertheless, not my will be done but yours.”
