Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,
no one who does what is right and never sins.

Not A Righteous Man

The Righteous Among the Nations (RATN) designation is awarded to non-Jewish individuals who risked their lives and the lives of their families to rescue Jews during the Holocaust. Rescue took many forms including: hiding Jews in the rescuers’ home or on their property, providing false paper and identities, and smuggling or assisting Jews to escape. In Canada, the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem and the Israeli Embassy or Consulate partner to present the medal and a certificate in a special ceremony to descendants of those who have been awarded the designation posthumously.

If you are a follower of Jesus, your great desire ought to be to live a life that mirrors His in compassion, honesty and holiness. We ought to walk like, live like and see like the Man of Galilee. We know how often we fail, and we are followers of Jesus, filled by His Holy Spirit, desirous to live a life that honours Him. No wonder King Solomon wrote this in Ecclesiastes 7:20: “Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.” We fully acknowledge this. So, is there any hope? King Solomon wrote this centuries before the arrival of Jesus. We know that Jesus is the only truly righteous person to ever live. Those who were closest to Him when He was here testify to His righteousness. While we will never be perfect until we are welcomed into the fullness of His Kingdom, the Bible tells us that He is our righteousness, if we have come to Him in faith, trusting Him to remove our sin and make us new. Have you?
