God Has A Purpose
The Quality of Life Framework for Canada includes indicators such as sense of meaning and purpose, life satisfaction, self-rated health and self-rated mental health. The data from Wave 3 of the Canadian Social Survey shows a strong sense of meaning and purpose among the Canadian population aged 15 and older in Canada’s ten provinces. That sense of purpose is higher in the rural areas at 69%, compared to 58% in urban areas. The province with the highest sense of purpose is Quebec at 67%.

The world teaches us that we are the product of chance and the survival of the fittest. Then people are told to find their purpose after being told there is no Creator who created them with a purpose. What a contrast to what we are taught in God’s word. From page one we told we are created by a Creator who loves us deeply and who has a plan for our lives. The apostle Paul hits this dead on with what he says in Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Don’t miss what Paul is saying here. First, God calls us with a purpose – His purpose for our lives. When you love God through faith in Jesus Christ, you have the assurance that God is going to work for your good. What peace and joy this brings, knowing that God’s plan and purpose will work out for your life. Once you have discovered God’s purpose for your life, trust Him to work all things out, according to that purpose.
