See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:19 NIV

A New Thing

Time Out announced its top picks for the best new things to do in 2025 in spots around the globe, with star bathing at Metis Crossing in Alberta topping the list. The publication chose Metis Crossing for its star bathing experience, singling out its Sky Watching Domes that “provide insight into the traditional knowledge of the Métis people.” It went on to tout its almost zero light pollution in the area, allowing guests to sleep under the stars in the dazzling domes. Metis Crossing is approximately 122 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.

If your life has been marked by a sense that not all is right with your world, if you are searching for purpose and meaning in life, I have great news for you – this is not the plan your Creator has for your life. Jesus lived in this world – he understands what it is to be tired, and disappointed with others, and to spend time in a wilderness, facing hunger and dealing with temptation. He fully relates to all you are facing. But listen to this promise in Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” God has a plan to get you out of the wilderness. Your spiritual wandering is about to come to an end. When you lift your eyes to Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith, you will begin to notice His way out. His hope and joy will spring up within you and He will lead and guide you to the place of peace that is relationship with Him.

These have been words from the heart.
