Does this chart bother you?
Only 11% of Christians read the Bible at least once per week!
Bible reading is declining drastically in Canada. In 2014 when 4,500 Canadians were surveyed on their use, beliefs about, and attitudes toward the Bible, the majority said they never or seldom read the Bible. In fact, only 11% of Christians* read the Bible at least once per week! Even in Christian families, the Bible is often not part of daily life.

The need has never been greater for children and teens to be grounded in the Scriptures.
What are we going to do about it?
If you have an idea for an innovative extracurricular activity that helps children and teens engage with the Bible, we want to help you launch it!
Bible League Canada has dedicated funds to increasing Bible reading among youth, all you have to do is ask for it!
Through the Youth Bible Engagement Grant Program, Bible League Canada hopes to spark a new passion for reading and obeying God’s Word among youth in Canada.
The program is designed to support leaders who develop programs to engage students with Scripture through creative, relevant, Bible-centered programs, as a catalyst for transformation and growth in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
