And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”

Revelation 7:10 (NLT)

Salvation Comes from Our God

This verse gives us just a hint of how wonderful it will be when all followers of the Lord Jesus are gathered eternally to worship Him. There will be a “roar” of worship raised up before Him. He will be eternally worthy of that worship. He is also worthy now! He’s provided a great salvation. Take time today to lift up your voice to Him.

Trout River Industries in Prince Edward Island has saved countless hours of work, and potentially many from injury in the heavy trucking industry. Before this island innovation, when a truck had to release a load it was carrying, it had to raise the trailer at a severe angle until the load slid out at the back end. Far too often the trailer would touch a wire carrying high voltage electricity, potentially causing great harm to truck and trucker. Trout River designed a trailer with a live bottom conveyer belt. The conveyer belt carries the load that trailer is carrying and dumps it onto the ground at the back of the truck without the trailer having to move. The trailer can be safely and easily emptied on uneven ground or near power lines.

The greatest gift that God offers is the gift of salvation. It is His greatest gift because it is our greatest need, and there is nothing we can do in our own strength and power to deserve it or earn it. Until Jesus gets a hold of our lives, redeeming us and setting us free from our sin and shame, we are without hope. But when Jesus gets a hold of your heart and transforms it by His grace, everything changes. Not only is eternal life guaranteed, but it begins immediately. Peace with God is restored and with the promise of His abiding presence, praise results. This is all a precursor of days yet to come, when a great crescendo of praise will erupt in Glory when the saints of God are gathered together in the kingdom of God. Revelation 7:10 describes it this way: “And they were shouting with a great roar, ‘Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!’” Heaven has always been filled with the praise expressed by the angelic host. But their praise cannot begin to compare to that which will be expressed by the redeemed from every nation, tribe, people and tongue. It will be a roar that fills the universe. The roar of the redeemed, recognizing the fullness of the salvation that had been offered them through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Out of the redeemed heart will come a great shout of praise!
