Words from the Heart for Tuesday January 9th, 2018
Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”
Genesis 1:6 (NLT)
The mighty power of God is seen again in these words, “Let there be…!” The vast oceans and many, many bodies of water across creation are being set in their place by the word of the Lord. He is a God of power and great order. Do you have things “out of order” in your life? You can bring them to Him today.
The Boundary Waters — also called the Quetico-Superior country — is a region of wilderness straddling the Canada-United States border between Ontario and Minnesota, in the region just west of Lake Superior. The region is characterized by a vast network of waterways and bogs within a glacially-carved landscape of Precambrian bedrock covered in thin soils and boreal forests. The Boundary Waters is a popular destination or recreationalists pursuing camping, canoeing, fishing, as well as for those simply looking for natural scenery and relaxation.
Human beings cannot live without water. It is the most basic need that every man, woman and child has and when it is in short supply, people travel great distances and go to great lengths to obtain it. This is the way God created us, so it shouldn’t surprise us that early on in creation, we see God providing fresh water. Genesis 1:6 says, “Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.” Astronauts tell us that what is most shocking about looking at the earth from space is how blue it is. It is water that makes the earth so vibrant – the blue that is life. The Creator of universe begins His creation by providing the most basic of need for life – water. If creation was that superbly planned, how much more then can we trust Him that He has planned for our every need as well. Out of the depths of your need today, you can reach out to Him with the full assurance that He has already planned to meet that need.
These have been words from the heart.
