Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.

Genesis 7:8-9 (NIV)

Entering the Ark

Later within the record of scripture we see that God would protect what He had made. Pairs of all the animals were brought by a miracle into the ark before all the rest was destroyed by the flood. Our God believes in the future and He made sure that there was protection and preservation. His watchful eye is upon what He has created.

If a Chinese businessman gets his way, Moose Jaw Saskatchewan will soon be the home to a replica of Noah’s Ark. It will part of a Biblical theme park that Sun Wenquing, who has already built a Bible-themed park in China, has planned for that prairie city. Sun converted from Buddhism to Christianity in 2009 and has since dedicated himself to spreading the Christian faith. Sun’s plan is to bring workers from China to build the park over four years.

Sin had marred God’s creation. Since the fall of mankind, sin had been increasing and God had finally had enough. But in spite of the sin and faithlessness that was marking the world at the time of Noah, God loved all that He had created. And even when He decided to cleanse the world He had made through a worldwide flood, He provided a way out, not only for the one faithful family, but for the rest of His creation as well. Genesis 7:8-9 says “Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.” While God would later spell out those animals that were considered clean, and therefore usable by human beings, and those who were unclean and therefore not safe to eat, He loved all the animals He had created. So He orders Noah to gather pairs of animals of each species so that life on earth would be preserved. God cares about every part of His creation. Those who know the Creator though faith in His Son, Jesus, need to care about it too.
