If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Cleanse

Canada’s air quality has improved significantly over the last several decades as our air pollutant emissions continue to decline. Our air is consistently ranked among the cleanest in the world, according to the World Health Organization. This is largely due to federal, provincial and territorial governments working together to reduce air pollution from vehicles, power plants, and industries across the country. The latest air pollutant emissions report shows an overall steady decline in air pollutant emissions since 1990.

The word sin isn’t in favour these days. Most people find it difficult to admit that they sin, and would rather instead call it simply a mistake, or an error in judgment, or maybe an oversight. But God calls sin anything that falls short of His call to be holy and he is holy, and that happens often in our lives. Some sins are by omission – we don’t do what God calls us to do – or sins of commission – doing what God commands us not to do. Jesus made is simple to judge whether we have sinned or not – we do when we don’t love the Lord with our whole body, soul and spirit, and when we don’t love others as we love ourselves. The good news is that God is always ready to forgive us, if we will just admit our sin and confess them to Him. The apostle puts it this way in 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Why not take time today to confess your sin, and when you do, you will experience Jesus’ grace, forgiveness and filling. What a gift.
