Angel

Angel investors are wealthy, experienced business people who invest their time and money in your high-growth business in exchange for equity. “There are anywhere from 20,000 to 50,000 angel investors in Canada. Besides the visible community, there are many who invest, but who don’t advertise it,” says Yuri Navarro, former Executive Director of the National Angel Capital Organization. Angels are often the first ones to invest in early-stage businesses and that carries a lot of weight in the eyes of future investors.

There is a lot of misinformation about angels. People do not become angels after they die. Angels are created spiritual beings, but unlike human beings, they are not created in the image of God. They cannot experience redemption. Fallen angels became demons, destined for the lake of fire without any hope of reconciliation with their Creator. Angels are often used by God as messengers – they bring news, they announce the arrival of Jesus, and they protect God’s people from harm. A great example of this is found in Luke 1:26: “In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee.” In this case, Gabriel was going to tell Mary she had been chosen as the mother of the Messiah. God continues to use angels for His purposes and as a blessing to His people. They are far more than cute, little cherubs that are so popular today, particularly among proponents of the New Age Movement. Angels serve the living God, and are powerful beings. Every time they show up in the Bible, the human reaction is fear. Be grateful for the angels that God sends your way to serve Him and protect you.
