Do everything in love.

In Love

The website TripSavvy says this about romantic places in Canada: “Romantic places in Canada range from cosmopolitan cities to tiny, out-of-the-way towns, and larger-than-life natural wonders. Much of Canada’s romance derives from the country and its geography itself, which is abundant in lakes, forests, mountains, and ocean.” It then goes on to list some of our country’s most romantic places: Niagara-on-the-Lake, Cape Breton Island, Quebec City and Montreal. No matter where you live in Canada, you will find a romantic place nearby.

You may have noticed that some of the shortest verses in the Bible are the most impactful. For example, when I was young and asked for a memorized Bible verse, I would always quote John 11:35 – “Jesus wept.” As I matured in my faith, I realized that this is one of the most poignant verses in Scripture and deals with Jesus’ love and humanity. There is another short verse in the Bible that speaks to the heart of what it means to be a Jesus follower. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Do everything in love.” For the person who desires to live like Jesus, we are commanded two things – love God with our entire being and love others as we love ourselves. That love is shown in how the Holy Spirit calls us and equips us to a life of holiness and how we treat others in our daily lives. We ought to wake up every morning asking ourselves how we can love God better in our thoughts and then prove that we love Him by how we treat others today. This small verse can have huge implications for you today.

These have been words from the heart.
