For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalm 139:13 NIV

Most IQ tests have the same scale. The average is 100, and the standard deviation is 15. This means that 68% of people fall within one standard deviation of the average, or between 85 and 115. But what is the average IQ in Canada? According to one study that was posted in Forbes website in 2019, the current national average IQ in Canada is 100.4. It seems to indicate that Canada’s IQ distribution is very similar to the worldwide IQ distribution.

The most creative of human beings have blessed us all with beautiful art, heart-moving music and stunning architecture. We love to visit art galleries, museums and historical buildings, standing in awe of what the minds of creative people have dreamed up. If this is the case with human beings, it is far more so with the Creator. Theologians use the term ex nihilo, which is Latin for “out of nothing.” Everything that we see in nature, from the vastness of the universe to the mystery of the atom, was designed first in the mind of God. This includes us, you and me. King David wrote about this in Psalm 139:13: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” You are not a product of chance. You are not an accident, and you are not a surprise to God. He created you first in His mind, and then knit you together in your mother’s womb. God created you with a purpose and He loves you dearly. In a world that increasingly offers no hope and no purpose, the Bible assures you that you were lovingly created. You have infinite worth and are deeply loved by your Creator.
These have been words from the heart.
