I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

His Glorious Riches
At no time in history has there been as many Canadian billionaires as there are now — 45 to be exact. David Thomson is far and away the richest at $32.5 billion, with a global rank of 27th. The richest person in the world remains Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos followed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. It’s estimated that Bezos could have a personal fortune of $131 billion. It’s estimated Gates has about $96.5 billion followed by Buffett at $82.5 billion.
The Bible teaches us that everything belongs to the One who created the world. Only He has the power to create something from nothing simply by speaking it into existence. So when Ephesians 3:16-17a speaks about His glorious riches, we begin to comprehend just what that means. Here is what Paul writes: “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” No matter how great our need, God’s riches are greater. We need so much – the power to live victoriously over temptation and opposition, the strength to accomplish all He calls us to do, the authority over the powers of darkness. Paul reminds us that it is His power that works in us because He has taken up residence in us. And His power is never ending, inexhaustible. Whatever your spiritual need, God’s glorious riches are available for you. We are called to walk in faith and trust God to provide. As we do, God will pour out His power and spiritual riches into your life so that you can accomplish all He has for you to do and be.
