Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Isaiah 64:4 NIV
God Works on your Behalf
The world beyond Canada’s borders is home to about three million Canadians. Each one has their own reasons for choosing to live in a foreign land, whether to work, study, volunteer, retire or pursue other opportunities. The Government of Canada works on behalf of the thousands of Canadians residing in foreign countries each year. With more than 260 offices in 150 countries worldwide – plus an Emergency Watch and Response Centre in Ottawa – the Government of Canada serves Canadians living abroad 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Everybody has a worldview. It is the lens through which we view our relationships with each other and with the broader society. There was a time when the primary worldview was Biblical, with the understanding that this world is not all there is, and that eternity beckons. Sadly, in our post-modern world, the worldview has changed significantly. Decades ago, the secular humanists introduced a worldview that is now driving our society – we are a product of billions of years of natural selection and the survival of the fittest. Unlike the Biblical worldview that teaches that we are created by a loving God who knit us together in our mother’s womb and birthed us with a purpose and plan for our lives, the secular worldview is that we are just a matter of chance and when we die, we become food for worms. No wonder suicide rates are so high, if life appears to have no meaning. What hope is given by such verses as Isaiah 64:4: “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”
These have been words from the heart.
