But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Waiting Eagerly

According to the Government of Canada website, you can stay in Canada while waiting for your permanent residence as long as you maintain legal status. Temporary resident status is valid for a specific period of time, and you must ensure that your status as a temporary resident remains valid while you are in Canada.  Most foreign nationals need a study permit to study in Canada. You should apply for a study permit before coming to Canada.

Somebody once said “I asked God to grant me patience. God said ‘no, patience is a byproduct of tribulations.’” We all want patience, but few of us are willing to pay the price to get it. It seems to be one of the most difficult fruits of the Spirit to ripen in us. It is also one of the most important. The apostle Paul says this in Romans 8:25: “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” There is much about the Christian life that demands patience. We long for the return of Christ. We look forward to seeing Him face to face. We want to see believing loved ones who have gone on ahead. But not yet. We live with a spirit of hope for what is yet to come. Paul says we do so with patience. None of us know when the Lord is going to make everything right – we just know that He is. So, in the meantime, today, we wait patiently. We get on with what He has called us to be and to do. We go on with our lives, following Christ, sharing Him and His love. We keep on hoping, and we wait patiently.

These have been words from the heart.
