Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV

Seek God

What often happens when professionals immigrate to Canada is that they face a long journey to accreditation here in Canada, making it challenging for them to earn a living here. This past November, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada announced a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan that allows members of that group seeking the Canadian CPA certification here in Canada to receive it. CAs from Pakistan may still need to complete provincial qualifications.

We all recognize times when we don’t have within us what we need to get through the day. Life can be challenging and for some of us it is challenging right now. The world will tell you to look within to find what you need. The problem is that when we look within we don’t find the answer to the issues with which we are dealing. There is good news. In 1 Chronicles 16:11 we read, “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” One of the major differences between the Creator and His created is that He is self-sufficient in every way. He never needs to fill up His spiritual, emotional, and physical tanks. Theologians use the term omnipotent, a word that means having unlimited power, able to do anything. No wonder the Bible tells us to look to Him in times of need. He promises that when we seek Him with our whole hearts, He will be found. And when we look to Him in faith, He provides all we need to live victoriously. Take time today to look to the Lord for all you need – He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and He will give you the strength you need.

These have been words from the heart.
