“How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.”

2 Samuel 7:22 NIV

If you want a unique Canadian experience, check out Iceberg Alley. Iceberg Alley is a fitting appellation for the waters that welcome the 10,000-year-old ice giants that float down the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador in the spring and summer time. While icebergs are visible from land, a boat or kayak tour is one of the best ways to get up close and grasp their immense beauty (expect whale and seabird sightings too). The best time to see icebergs is from April to August.

The world has more gods than you can imagine. One report says that Hinduism has 330 million gods and goddesses alone. On top of this, men and women make gods out of just about anything – your god is whatever you put first in your life and in whatever you put your trust for peace and prosperity. No matter how many gods the world has, over and over the Bible says that there is only one true, unique and sovereign God. 2 Samuel 7:22 says, “How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.” In Bible days, each nation had their own god. They trusted in their god for daily provision and military victory. But none of those gods ever spoke. They remained aloof and distant. That makes sense, they weren’t real. The only God is Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He speaks, He listens, and He responds to the needs of His people. He has fully revealed Himself in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Put your faith and trust in Him, the great, Sovereign, unique God.
