Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Except Through Me

Because Alaska is separated from the 48 contiguous states of the USA, the government of Alaska gives this advice: “Remember that driving through Canada means crossing an international border and entering a foreign country, which means being subject to another country’s laws and policies. The only way to determine for certain if you will be allowed to enter Canada is to physically drive to a port of entry at the border and request permission to enter given the proper documentation is in-hand for inspection by border officials.

We live in a day when people make Jesus in their own image. They create a Jesus who allows everything, who never calls people to repentance and who is open to any belief in any god or none at all, and living any way you want. That may be world’s Jesus, but it certainly isn’t the Bible’s Jesus. The Bible quotes Jesus in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This is the Jesus of the narrow way, Jesus of the only way. If there are other ways to God, then the cross was the greatest injustice in the history of the world. If there was any other way for sins to be forgiven, guilt lifted and men and women redeemed, then Jesus’ death was for nothing. But there is no other way. Jesus Himself taught His followers that He alone is the Way to eternal life. Our eternity hangs on what we have done with Jesus. If you want to know God, love God, and have the assurance of eternity with God, you have no choice but to put your faith and trust in Jesus.

These have been words from the heart.
