God is Our Security
According to the Canadian Government website, The Canadian Security Intelligence Agency, known simply as CSIS, is at the forefront of Canada’s national security system. Their role is to investigate activities suspected of constituting threats to the security of Canada and to report on these to the Government of Canada. CSIS may also take measures to reduce threats to the security of Canada in accordance with well-defined legal requirements and Ministerial Direction.

It used to be said that a man’s home is his castle. The meaning was that with everything that he faced in the world, the pressures at work, financial responsibilities, when he entered his own home, it was a place of refuge, rest and renewal. We all need a place where we can find sanctuary and security in a world that can be overwhelming. If anything, in these days when buying a home is out of reach for so many, and homelessness is on the rise, we have learned that nothing on this planet offers ultimate security and safety. King Solomon had noticed this, and so wrote this in Proverbs 14:26: “Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.” If we want true peace and security, we won’t find it in anything that this world has to offer. We will only find it in our Creator God. When we put our trust in Him, He becomes our castle, our secure fortress, and for our family, a refuge. He is the unchanging God, and through Jesus He offers us that place of security. You can trust Him, and no matter what the world sends your way, He will be your refuge.
