Words from the Heart for Thursday September 23rd, 2021
Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.
Ephesians 3:12 (NLT)
In an online article posted this past July 3, entitled, “Bold Sunsets, Hazy Skies, Due to Canadian Wildfires”, a Wisconsin TV station posted photos of the effect on local air quality of the forest fires in Western Canada. According to the article: “Looking up to the sky the past few days, it may have been a bit hazy due to smoke invading from wildfires in Canada. The smoke continues to reach Wisconsin, certain areas affected more than others across the state. Higher amounts are reaching eastern and central Wisconsin.”
The book of Esther in the Bible makes it clear that people approached ancient kings with fear and trepidation. They had the power of life and death over everyone in their kingdom, and it didn’t take much to set them in the mood for death. Even beautiful Queen Esther prepared herself to enter into the presence of her husband. His last Queen had been banished from his presence for displeasing him. If there was ever a king that was all-powerful it is the one whom the Bible calls the king of Kings. The God of the Bible is omnipotent. But listen to what Ephesians 3:12 says “Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.” What a privilege is ours because of our relationship with Jesus Christ. We become members of His forever family. God is our father – you are the son or daughter of the living God. He welcomes you – the door to His throne room is always open. He loves you and you bring Him great pleasure when you accept His invitation and enter boldly into His presence in prayer. Do it often.
These have been words from the heart.
